SMRS(Ericsson)
SMRS is a key part of the Ericsson 'Add Node' use case, providing an interface to a distributed file system and utilities for telecommunications nodes (RBS, eRBS) integrating with Ericsson’s cellular network. Its tasks include creating directories, accounts, and passwords on demand as nodes are integrated with the cellular network. My work included completely rewriting the existing JSE version of SMRS into a JEE application with key considerations for high availability, maintainability, and scalability. I wrote the production code, defined interfaces, unit tested, Arquillian tested (integration), and conducted TAF tests (end-to-end integration).
Additionally, I worked as part of an agile security team developing a security product for Ericsson. I leveraged my knowledge of Java and JEE to create the login function, which included creating, storing, and verifying users who would sign into the company’s internal repository system. The team utilized daily SCRUMs, sprint planning, and retrospectives as well as various testing technologies (Arquillian, Maven, Gerrit) to develop and test the product.
AI-Core (Auto Integration Core - Ericsson)
Auto Integration Core is another key part of the Ericsson auto provisioning product called as part of the auto provisioning use case. Its role is to accept REST request from telecommunications nodes and return various configuration files as the nodes integrate with the cellular network. Similar to SMRS my role was to rewrite an existing JSE product in JEE and implement all unit and integration test
Automated Web testing (Emutex Ltd)
I was tasked with researching and developing automated web tests. These tests would (1) validate the code on the company’s website, (2) check every link on the website and (3) count every link on the website. I carried out research into various light weight frameworks that would achieve my goal. I settled on Watir a lightweight automated testing framework written in Ruby. Even though I had no experience with Ruby in 2 weeks I was able to develop various automated tests and have the results emailed to my manager and I when they were done.
Online Report Card System (Restoration)
I was tasked with designing an online report card for a school. Its functionality included but was not limited to; Adding, editing and deleting students; Adding, editing and deleting subjects; Adding, editing and deleting Report cards and calculating grades based on assignment, test and exam scores. I used my knowledge of HTML 5, PHP, MySQL, and JQuery to develop the web application.
Web APIs/Web Service (L.I.T)
For my final project I carried out research into web APIs and their importance to web services. Leveraging my technical skills in PHP, HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, JSON, database design and UML I created a RESTful web API. Which I then used to create a web service.
Web Design Website (Freelance)
As part of a project for a client, I created a website for the clients' indie film company, ABFilms. I leveraged my knowledge of web design, WordPress, DIVI, HTML5, and CSS3 to develop a vibrant website that provides comprehensive information about the company.
